Welcome to Fen Earth Neutral

Not since the Danish designers Jacobsen, Mogensen and Wegner, during the late 40’s to the 60’s, created Tectona Grandis furniture from Burma, did this feel so wonderfully natural in our homes. A new time has inspired a new creative era.

FEN-Organic Range

The Organic range is created using the timber from the entire tree.

During the milling process, the outer edges are meticulously cleared of the bark, to reveal the natural qualities of the tree itself.   As the planks are formed, these in turn become the outer edges of the organic interior furniture range retaining all the unique embellishments of the surface of each individual trunk.

FEN-Reclaimed Range

The reclaimed timber range is developed from the reclamation of seasoned teak from older Myanmar disused buildings.

Collected from the walls, floors and roofs of cottages and small warehouses from the villages, built during the colonial and postcolonial era, when Myanmar was Burma and Yangon was Rangoon, these beautiful historic buildings were disassembled to make way for the modernity of Myanmar.

By acknowledging the provenance of this extraordinary timber, Fen Earth Neutral designs, prolongs and preserves its life into ongoing eras thus building on the history of this astonishing country.

FEN-Lineal Range

With the focus on simplicity and elegance, the more formal Lineal Series adopts Kaare Klint’s approach to simple, functional furniture design.

The milled planks are used in such a way that results in a collection of finely finished furniture that represents classical, timeless beauty in its finest form.

Fen Earth Neutral

Fen Earth Neutral is a small company designing beautiful interior furniture, from sustainable and reclaimed teak, grown and made in Burma.

We showcase our own FEN range in our Concept store in Flinders, on the Mornington Peninsula, where it is displayed alongside an eclectic mix of selected rattan collections sourced from Indonesia and homewares from Morocco.

On the walls, we exhibit art from a select group of Peninsula artists.
